P&R Tech offers a wide range of LED obstruction lights that meet and exceed FAA and ICAO standards for marking towers and other obstructions of various heights. See the FAA Advisory here. LED lighting comes with a 5-year warranty and typically has a 15-year operating lifetime.
FAA Tower Lighting FAQs
Do I need steady-burning or flashing L-810 lights?
Towers up to 150 ft use steady-burning lights. Towers over 150 ft need flashing red L-810s.
Is infrared lighting required?
Per the latest FAA Advisory Circular, IR lights are mandatory for current and future towers.
What if my existing tower has non-IR lights?
Existing towers are grandfathered and don’t have to update right away.
